Thursday Morning


Not too bad to start off the day! This was 2 miles outside. I'm going to try and do this again tomorrow morning! I also got to work about 45 minutes early today. So instead of sitting at my desk or in the car, I walked at work. I did .55 miles at work. Then another .25 for the walk into work and then .25 leaving work. So at work I did a total of 1 mile. That makes it 3 miles today!

I'm a bit behind the race training! I'm going to start next week on week 3. 8 weeks until the half marathon! Tomorrow I have to do my best to get in 4 miles. If I can do that and then about 5 on Saturday or Sunday, then I'm not so far behind.

I also think September I'm not going to weigh myself. I seem to do it every day or every other day and it just upsets me. I can't seem to get out of the 280's. I want to get get down to 270's really soon. When I see that I'm going back up, I get upset. I need to be happy with the over all picture. I started off at 340 and now I'm down to 285. That's not back in the over all picture. What I see is more the smaller picture. I have been in the 280's for about 6 months, maybe more. Maybe with training for the 1/2 marathon, I can drop a few more pounds. I don't like running much on the treadmill at home, it's boring. I have gone to the park with the family and did the walk outside today. I need to keep walking to get use to the hills around here. The half will be very hilly.

Well, I guess that's all for now. My girls are now both in school. Just have to wait 2 more years and the youngest will be in school full time. I can't believe how much they have changed. Seems like they are growing up so fast! Hope I can be healthy to stay around and watch them grow to wonderful young ladies!

13.1

About a month and 1/2 until my half marathon. I'm starting to think I'm crazy to do this. I need to get on the ball with training. I need to get up early and go for a walk in the am. I went to the park yesterday with the family. We all went for a 1/2 mile walk then I did a 1/2 mile jog. So starting tomorrow morning I will get a walk in. I think it's a 3.2 mile. It's a good start.

1/2 is October 20th!

Back to school!

Big sis is going back to school today!!  She is going into 2nd grade!  Seems like the years are just flying by.  In about 2 years, 2014-2015 school year, both girls will be school full time!!  I wish Kindergarten was full time, but ours is part time.  So I have to wait until little sis is in 1st grade and big is in 4th grade.  Yesterday was hubby's and mine 18th wedding anniversary. We've been together for a little over 10 years!  I'm very happy that I found a wonderful man to have a life with.  (I had a few bad guys before that)

So today is my first day of my vacation.  What did I do first thing this morning?  Got up at 4:45am to workout at a cycling class.  It's been a long time since I've done cycling.  I thought the teacher was going to be someone else but it wasn't.  The guy that teaches the class is always late.  The Y wants everyone to be about 15 minutes early to every class.  He shows up 10 minutes late.  Of course hubby has to go to work by 6:30 am.  The class should be over by 6:15.  Since the teacher was late, then the class runs late.  Today I had to leave on time.  So instead of doing 45 minutes of class, I did 40 minutes.  I was able to go 12 miles and the bike said 318 calories.  I am not able to change the weight on the bike, so the calorie count is what a "normal" person weighs.  Tomorrow I'm getting a few test done.  Checking out my numbers so I can get a discount on heath insurance.  I'm not sure what they are going to do other than take some blood and weigh me.  Once I found out information, I'll post it!

TGIF

It's Friday again and I hardly worked out this week.  I was PMSing very bad and not in the mood for much.  Now I'm a little better.  Now I really need to get down to losing weight.  I always say this, but I need to really do it.  Yes, I have lost 50+ pounds (depends on the day, it could be up to 60).  Now it's time to do more to lose more.  I think that is my problem.  What I was doing was great.  It helped lose the first 50.  Now I have to take it up a level to get more gone.  When there is a down time at work, I will plan my workouts for the next few weeks.  I will need to get up early to work out and then work out at night.  I think if I do more than before, I should get more gone!.  

I haven't drank any pop in about 3 months!  I'm going to keep that up.  I don't need pop and I don't want it.  I need to stop eating fast food, but I keep doing so.  I need to take more healthy snacks and items to work.  Then I won't feel like stopping after work. 

That's all for now.  I need to get the girls their breakfast and then off to work!
